Raffles Hospital is the flagship of Raffles Medical Group. Senior Executive / Assistant Manager , Underwriter (Raffles Health Insurance). Major Duties and Responsibilities Underwrites health insurance products such as Term Life, Critical Illness, Hospitalisation & Surgery, and Outpatient etc. Assesses applicant insurability by analysing information in the application, screens applicants on the basis of set criteria, determines the risk of insuring an applicant, and decides special terms of exceptions. Prepares documents to obtain additional information, makes arrangements for applicant to undergo medical examination etc. Summarises medical reports received. Discusses with Senior Underwriter / Clinical Director for complicated cases. Provides advice, when required, to colleagues from other departments. Works closely with related departments to ensure that insurance applications are processed timely and accurately. Performs miscellaneous duties and administrative support as required for research & data analysis pertaining to underwriting. Job Requirements Diploma / degree in any discipline. Minimum 3 years experience in underwriting. Experience in Shield plans and group employee benefits preferred. Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills. Meticulous and keen in details. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Ability to multi‐task and complete tasks within specified timeline. Result driven and self‐motivated.
