Job Opportunity: Cybersecurity Risk Specialist

The organization seeks a highly skilled Cybersecurity Risk Specialist to serve as the first line of defense and focal point for risk and control matters. This role will collaborate across units to drive risk reduction and mitigation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for risk and control matters within the team.
    • Collaborate with various units to develop and implement risk reduction and mitigation strategies.
    • Review identified issues, proposed action plans, and verify remedial solutions for closure.
    • Work closely with line managers to oversee risk mitigation programs and address control gaps identified through root cause analysis and lessons learned.
    • Develop frameworks and metrics to support departmental risk mitigation programs and escalate emerging or at-risk issues to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
    • Manage Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) reporting and track KRIs to prevent breaches.
    • Coordinate and drive programs to enhance the risk posture of the department.
    • Conduct periodic risk reviews and assessments, control testing, and analysis of key risk indicators to review the effectiveness of internal controls and ensure risk exposure over key processes is within risk appetite and complies with regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure proper documentation on risk mitigation programs from the department.
    • Submit accurate and timely risk and control reports.
    • Provide training and support to foster a strong risk culture and risk awareness within the department.
    • Conduct risk and control self-assessments to evaluate the risk and security posture of the department.
  • Audit, Regulatory, Compliance:
    • Manage internal and external audits and act as the audit focal point for the department.
    • Track and report status to the team and provide management updates in management forums.
