Job Title: Piling Specialist

As a Piling Specialist, you will be responsible for managing site operation issues, producing method statements and risk assessments, and designing pile foundations based on geotechnical data and load requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage site operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain method statements, risk assessments, and ITPs to ensure effective project execution.
  • Design and specify pile foundations, taking into account geotechnical data and load requirements.
  • Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and specifications required for piling construction.
  • Collaborate with consultants, clients, and main contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Carry out and complete lift plans, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Prepare flowcharts and methods of construction, supervising site activities and ensuring safe working practices.
  • Complete technical and safety submissions prior to commencement of micro-piling projects.
  • Work closely with the construction supervisor to ensure safe working is planned and executed well.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • May have to work overtime as per site requirement.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in AUTOCAD and computer-aided design software.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology, with a minimum of 5 years experience in piling or geotechnical works.
  • Must have LTA experience and able to interpret soil strata/rock and perform capacity calculations.
  • BCSS and Risk Management certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
