Legal Counsel Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to lead our legal and compliance function. This critical role supports the CEO and senior management in ensuring we operate within a sound legal and regulatory framework.

  • Support corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
  • Lead contract drafting, review, and negotiation with suppliers, landlords, and service partners
  • Manage dispute resolution and litigation proceedings
  • Act as Data Protection Officer (DPO) and ensure ongoing compliance with data protection regulations
  • Oversee compliance activities, including regulatory filings, investigations, and audits
  • Develop and deliver internal compliance training on trade and regulatory topics
  • Partner closely with internal teams to provide pragmatic legal support aligned with business needs
Requirements
  • Degree in Law and admission to the Bar in a Commonwealth jurisdiction
  • 3–5 years PQE in-house or with a reputable law firm
  • Proven legal or compliance experience in a retail or consumer business environment is essential
  • Familiarity with Singapore regulatory agencies is a strong advantage
  • Solid understanding of commercial contract law and corporate governance
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Meticulous, independent, and able to manage multiple priorities with sound judgement
