As a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Systems Specialist, you will play a vital role in the design, installation, and commissioning of M&E systems for our construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that all M&E drawings are coordinated and resolved efficiently.

  • You will be responsible for reviewing structural, architectural, and M&E drawings to identify any potential conflicts or discrepancies.
  • Ensure that M&E sub-contractors receive relevant structural and architectural drawings for their shop drawings and issue any subsequent amendment drawings as necessary.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors on discrepancies in their drawings and inform consultants and Project Manager on a regular basis, following up on actions until resolved.
  • Monitor and control the progress of M&E sub-contractors to avoid delays in other trades and vice versa.
  • Assist Project Manager and M&E Manager in resolving conflicts among M&E sub-contractors.
  • Be responsible for maintaining temporary site power and water supply, as well as sanitary facilities.
  • Attend all consultant site meetings, technical meetings, and sub-contractor meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate M&E drawings with structural and architectural drawings.
  • Issue amendments to drawings as necessary.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and consultants.
  • Monitor progress of M&E sub-contractors.
  • Resolving conflicts among M&E sub-contractors.
  • Maintain site facilities.
  • Attend project meetings.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant subject.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the construction industry, with exposure to M&E systems (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
