Swim Coach Position

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated swim coach to deliver high-quality lessons for our Learn-to-Swim (LTS) programs. The ideal candidate is someone who can inspire beginners while also nurturing aspiring competitive swimmers with sound technical instruction and training planning.

  • Teach foundational swimming skills to children aged 3+ using our structured LTS curriculum.
  • Manage small group or private classes in a fun, safe, and engaging manner.
  • Track progress and recommend student promotions based on readiness.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with parents and guardians.
  • Assist with SwimSafer assessments and school events as required.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Teaching Learn-to-Swim classes to children of all skill levels.
  2. Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the needs of each child.
  3. Providing positive feedback and encouragement to students.
  4. Staying up-to-date with the latest coaching techniques and best practices.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years coaching experience.
  • Certification in LTS Coaching.
  • Good understanding of swimmer development stages (ages 3–14).
  • Strong communication, patience, and class management skills.
  • Availability to work weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends.
  • Current CPR + AED certification (or willing to obtain).
