Job Title: Surface Treatment Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all surface finishing processes.

This role is responsible for providing technical guidance, driving process optimization, supporting cross-functional teams, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within an existing production environment.

The ideal candidate will lead by technical expertise, ensuring stable, efficient, and customer-compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical authority for all surface treatment and finishing processes, including plating, anodizing, passivation, and precision cleaning.
  • Provide in-depth guidance and troubleshooting support to production and quality teams to resolve process issues and maintain stable operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process capability, cycle time, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee plating reliability testing and process validations in line with ASTM, MIL, AMS, and QQN standards.
  • Review engineering drawings and customer specifications to ensure process alignment and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain and improve QMS documentation, including PFMEA, control plans, SOPs, and equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Support customer audits, technical reviews, and provide technical justifications as required.
  • Mentor and train engineers and operators on process fundamentals, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on surface treatment experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong working knowledge of process control, defect prevention, and quality improvement in plating and cleaning operations.
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain QMS systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
