Asia Pacific Japan Communications Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) Global Communications team.
This internship will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience in integrated communications projects for the APJ region, comprising Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and India as key markets.
As a member of our team, you will be exposed to various aspects of corporate communications functions such as media relations, industry analyst relations, content creation, executive and employee communications.
The goal of this internship is to provide you with the opportunity to gain insights into the global communications field of work in a fast-paced, multinational organisation.
Responsibilities may include:
- Creating and distributing content including media pitches, press releases, by-line articles, blogs, etc.
- Developing infographics, videos, internal announcements, social media posts, and executive briefing documents
- Taking the lead on our APJ ONE Newsletter, which is sent out monthly to all APJ employees
- Monitoring competitors' news and flagging issues and opportunities
- Assisting with organising internal events, including townhalls, coffee corners, and/or webinars
- Staffing internal and external communication events
- Assisting with reporting and documentation of media activities and coverage
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about creating innovative solutions and are eager to contribute to the success of our team.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A diploma, degree, or masters in Digital Media, Mass Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, Political Science, Business, English Language/Literature, or related fields
- Strong oral and written English skills
- Critical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Tech savvy self-starter with a proactive approach and keenness to learn and share
- Prior experience in communications, marketing, content editing, multi-media design, or video production will be an advantage

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
