**English Instructional Specialist Job Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as an English Instructional Specialist. As an integral member of our educational institution, you will be responsible for preparing and implementing educational teaching plans according to our school's requirements.

Your primary goal is to provide knowledge and instruction to students while helping them develop their personalities and skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and be able to create a relationship of mutual trust with students.

  • Prepare and conduct lessons according to the course syllabus and scheme of work
  • Deliver lessons and provide supervision to students as a mentor or form teacher
  • Provide necessary supervision to students, manage the classroom, and address discipline issues
  • Prepare and mark examination papers and assignments
  • Monitor student performance and progress, providing academic counselling when needed
  • Teach students according to their aptitude (Differentiated Teaching)
  • Perform intervention duties, identifying and discussing students' needs with parents/academic team/student relations
  • Attend team meetings and staff development workshops
  • Support scheduled school activities when directed
  • Oversee and advise non-academic / Co-curricular activities
  • Enable students to attain projected subject results

We value candidates who possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, logical thinkers who can work effectively in a team are also essential for this role.

Suitable applicants will have a minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Cambridge A Level / GCE A Level / Further Education ('FE') in a school setting. Former MOE school teachers and NIE-trained teachers are welcomed, and candidates with PGDE Certs are preferred.
