Cybersecurity Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and oversee testing strategies that ensure thorough evaluation at both product and system levels.
  • Develop test requirements based on various documentation to establish acceptance criteria for stakeholders in Business, Product Management, and Digital Channels.
  • Formulate and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts, utilizing both manual and automated methods to validate requirements.
  • Manage defect reporting through defect tracking software.
  • Generate reports detailing test preparation activities, execution progress, adherence to schedules, defect data, and other critical metrics.
  • Act as a representative of the QA Team in cross-departmental quality initiatives and test environment strategies.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for QA Software Testers regarding test planning and execution challenges, as well as project team concerns.
  • Lead large-scale and intricate projects.
  • Review and assess QA software test planning and execution processes.
  • Conduct training sessions and share best practices with the QA Team.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the interactions among various departments within the organization.
  • Keep updated knowledge of web applications, products, services, and operational processes.
  • Stay informed about federal and state regulations impacting software testing standards.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to create and sustain test schedules in line with established project management methodologies.
  • Uphold the leadership role in software testing within project teams.
  • Each employee is encouraged to pursue continuous improvement in processes and service quality to achieve organizational goals.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant roles.
  • Proficient in creating and executing manual tests.
  • Familiarity with test management software tools.
  • Competence in defect reporting and tracking using defect management software.
  • Capability to lead test-related meetings across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and software development lifecycle skills.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and other data retrieval techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and possess strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercising discretion in decision-making and sound judgment in problem-solving.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying information to individuals and groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure fair and consistent issue resolution.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Advanced computer and development skills, with a willingness to learn new software.
  • Full-time commitment required, with additional hours as necessary to meet objectives and project goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Software Testing Certification is a plus.
  • At least three years of experience in the software testing field.
  • Minimum of three years of technical project experience, encompassing testing throughout the full system development lifecycle.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
