Training and Education Specialist, Nursing Department

The role of a Clinical Instructor is to provide high-quality training and education for nursing staff and students. As part of our team, you will be responsible for establishing optimal clinical learning environments and assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating preceptorship schemes to strengthen clinical support for new staff.

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs that meet the needs of nursing staff and students.
  • Collaborate with nurse managers to ensure effective implementation of training activities and provision of ongoing support.
  • Co-ordinate and organize unit-based generic and specialty clinical practices, as well as discipline-based training courses.
  • Ensure appropriate orientation, training, and continuing education for nursing staff to advance and maintain the required level of competency.

Additionally, you will assist in developing and implementing nursing standards, working closely with nurse managers to ensure patient care delivery is implemented and monitored according to established standards of care and practice.

  • Provide guidance and support to nurse managers on clinical nursing and nursing training matters and issues.
  • Conduct summative assessments of nursing staff and students to evaluate their competencies.
  • Develop and conduct hospital-based training related to MOH requirements and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
  • Preferably a Specialist Diploma in clinical education.
  • At least 6 years of experience in clinical care.
  • Must be Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board.
