Job Title: Enterprise Network Architecture Specialist

Job Summary: A seasoned network architect with expertise in designing, implementing and managing large-scale network infrastructure is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, protocols and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Design & Implementation:

    • Design, configure and deploy network infrastructure solutions to meet business needs.

    • Plan and implement network appliance upgrades and new installations to ensure optimal performance.

  • Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

    • Continuously monitor the network to identify and resolve issues that may impact performance and reliability.

    • Analyze network traffic and performance metrics to optimize network infrastructure.

  • Security Management:

    • Implement and maintain robust network security protocols to safeguard sensitive data.

    • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to stay up-to-date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, including design specifications and implementation plans.

    • Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents and other relevant metrics.

  • Collaboration & Support:

    • Work closely with internal teams to support network requirements and ensure seamless integration.

    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Vendor Management:

    • Liaise with network hardware/software vendors to negotiate contracts, manage relationships and ensure timely resolution of issues.

    • Ensure cost-effective procurement and management of network resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise-level networking equipment and technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.

  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools and techniques, including packet analysis and network sniffing.

  • Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid network environments.

  • Ability to write scripts or use automation tools for network management and monitoring.
