The Staff Nurse works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver care that meets the unique needs of each patient. They are responsible for updating colleagues on changes in patient conditions and ensuring that care delivery and interventions are aligned with individual care plans.
The Staff Nurse evaluates patient responses to care interventions and recommends revisions to care plans as necessary. They also collaborate with Allied Health professionals to initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
Additional responsibilities include preparing and administering medications, maintaining safe control of drugs, and participating in staff training and development.
