Job Title: Network Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description:

Maintaining a stable and secure network infrastructure is essential for any organization. As a Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the company's network runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and optimize the company network infrastructure, including firewalls, managed switches, wireless access points, and routers.
  • Establish and enforce secure networking policies across all environments using proper firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, VLANs, IP subnetting, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across company networks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation and architecture to ensure high availability, maintainability, and compliance for existing and future needs.
  • Collaborate with the system engineering team to meet network requirements and security policies for company systems.
  • Support dev-ops networking requirements for the internal software development team as needed.
  • Work with vendors for hardware procurement, support escalations, and contract maintenance.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in networking fundamentals and theory, including routing, switching, VLANs, and IP protocols. A degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related field, along with 2-4 years of work experience in network administration or an equivalent, is required. Professional certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are welcome but not necessary. Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python, and experience with network monitoring tools and performance management solutions are also beneficial.
