Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Field Application Engineer to join our team. This role will involve working with various stakeholders, analyzing client requirements, and coordinating projects from start to finish.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Analyze client requirements and coordinate projects with various stakeholders.
  2. On-Site Technical Support: Provide expert troubleshooting and propose the best solutions for clients.
  3. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance to ensure top performance of equipment.
  4. Client Consultation: Collaborate with internal and external teams to recommend improvement projects on software upgrades for existing equipment.
  5. Installation & Emergency Support: Support for on-site installations, breakdowns, and servicing needs.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to ensure exceptional after-sales support for clients.

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications in PLC and SCADA systems are also desirable.

  • Strong experience in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, OMRON, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA software (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, GE iFix).
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, and OPC.
  • Knowledge of control system architecture, automation, and process control.

Desirable Skills:

Previous involvement in system integration projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with process automation and control system engineering best practices is also advantageous.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to travel globally to customer sites for commissioning and troubleshooting tasks as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
