Job Overview

This role is focused on leading and growing the Core Lab business across the Asia Pacific region. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive commercial acumen and innovative approaches.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building and growing laboratory discipline-based businesses, with a proven track record of establishing and articulating a vision, setting goals, and tracking results.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effectiveness and cooperation amongst team members and exercise customer-centric business thinking to evaluate potential customers and address needs from commercial to operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the regional Core Lab team as well as a network of affiliate Core Lab teams through the Asia Pacific network.
  • Develop and implement strategies/initiatives across the APAC region to drive the overall Core Lab diagnostic business with commercial acumen and innovative approaches.
  • Define an overarching business strategy of the overall performance of Core Lab business in the APAC region by combining solutions within the current (digital) ecosystem.
  • Make strategic, customer-centric decisions on product/segment launches and build new commercial business models.
  • Stay abreast of trends in the external environment that could impact the business currently and in the future.
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in the related field.
  • Advanced degree (Masters, MBA, Medical Degree, PhD) in the related field desired.
  • At least 15 years of work experience in related field.
  • Proven knowledge and expertise in area of focus and in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Proven ability to shape business and ecosystems, mobilize needed resources, and is outcome-driven.
  • Team management and people development experience and demonstrated courageous authenticity and builds trust with individuals of all levels.
  • Demonstrated passion for and role modelling of VACC leadership, with proven ability to lead with a creative mindset and act as a coach and mentor for others.
