Music Teacher Opportunity at Joy Music Studio

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team at Joy Music Studio in Marine Parade. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students of various ages and skill levels, creating customized learning plans, and preparing students for music exams and performances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students of various ages and skill levels
  • Create customized learning plans and prepare lessons based on students' goals and global curriculums (ABRSM, Trinity, Rock School)
  • Prepare students for music exams, competitions, or performances
  • Proactively communicate with parents regarding student progress (verbal, written, and videos)
  • Motivate students with creative and fun teaching techniques
  • Proactively contribute to the piano curriculum, programs, workshops, and best practices
  • Support colleagues in creating a safe and fun learning environment
  • Attend staff meetings and teacher training sessions
  • Work collaboratively with other colleagues for camps, mock exams, workshops, concerts, events
  • Assist in marketing activities related to promoting the school
  • Assist in front desk and administration tasks (helping hand or relief)

Requirements:

  • Hold a Music Degree or Diploma in your primary instrument
  • Bonus - Grade 8 Certification in a second instrument (Piano, Violin, Guitar, Vocals, Drums)
  • Have at least 1 year of teaching experience in individual and group settings with kids
  • Smile A LOT, and have a bright and cheerful personality with confident communication skills
  • Lovely working with young children and can offer related experience in teaching, customer service, or working with children
