Our organization seeks a seasoned Financial Services Business Analyst to drive business process optimization, risk management, and strategic financial services initiatives across Operations, Accounting, and Risk Management domains.

Job Description:

  • The ideal candidate will analyze current business processes, identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in Operations, Accounting, and Risk functions.
  • They will work closely with stakeholders to define Target Operating Models by translating business needs into functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with the risk team to document risk exposure, mitigation strategies, and related process controls.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), process reengineering, and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, ensuring clear understanding and successful delivery of projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis in financial services, with exposure to Operations, Accounting, and Risk functions.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger systems, and financial reconciliations.
  • Experience working with risk management frameworks, risk assessment, and controls documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in Target Operating Model (TOM) development and business process optimization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with BA tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Excel.
  • Ability to work in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of banking products, loan servicing, or financial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Basel III, IFRS, or SOX.
  • Professional certifications like CBAP, CPA, CFA, or FRM are a plus.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
