Procurement Strategist

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Procurement Strategist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality commodities while maintaining excellent vendor relationships.

  • Sourcing: Develop a suitable sourcing strategy by understanding products and market trends.
  • RFQ: Understand product requirements and suppliers' strengths to choose the correct supplier, negotiate pricing, and send requisitions and requests for quotation.
  • Issue PO: Generate Purchase Orders and issue POs to vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Control vendor delivery dates to meet customer requests, monitor scheduled deliveries, and follow up on a weekly basis with the executive team.
  • Maintain and ensure procurement documentation is updated regularly.
  • Assist in non-conformance issues, collaborate with vendors to rectify quality issues, and discuss solutions with team members and vendors.
  • Record and maintain order records for traceability when quality issues arise.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in supply chain management.
  • Good knowledge of Supply Chain & Inventory management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Words for project management.
  • Strong sourcing and analysis skills, ability to manage suppliers, and multitasking in high-pressure environments.
