Key Responsibilities

The Cluster Assistant Director of Finance will oversee the overall financial management of the hotels, including financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development and maintenance of internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and brand financial reporting standards.

They will partner with the Cluster Director of Finance to shape financial strategy and align with Accor goals. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Financial Management
  • Strategic Financial Leadership
    • Lead ROI analysis for capital expenditures and support feasibility studies for new initiatives.
    • Review and negotiate contracts in the absence of the Cluster Director, ensuring financial protection and favorable terms.
    • Ensure all licenses, permits, and insurance policies are current and compliant with the Management Agreement.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with commentary on variances and trends.
    • Submit detailed month-end packages to Sofitel AP and ownership, including credit analysis and cash flow forecasts.
    • Certify accuracy of internal and external financial reports before distribution.
    • Maintain documentation to support all balance sheet accounts and ensure audit readiness.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Assist in preparing the hotel's annual operating budget and rolling forecasts.
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop realistic and strategic departmental budgets.
    • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance
    • Design and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure policy compliance.
    • Conduct regular internal audits and support external audits with timely documentation and responses.
    • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, including GST and corporate tax filings.
