Job Title: Chief Technical Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Engineering Manager plays a critical role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and business objectives. This individual oversees a team of technicians and external technical professionals to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects and development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control of Plant Equipment: Monitor the working condition of plant equipment, update on the latest information from logs books and service reports, operate and maintain all plant equipment, and take appropriate action as needed.

  • Work Order Control System: Follow up on check and reason for outstanding work orders, check workload and efficiency of various sections, quality check of completed work orders, gather feedback from technicians, and consolidate suggestions for improvement.

  • Preventive Maintenance Program: Plan with the Chief Engineer for annual preventive maintenance, including design and implementation of proper economic schedules for repair of various equipment and controls. Ensure that technicians on duty carry out PM program work according to the schedule, monitor work quality, and make necessary adjustments.

  • Energy Conservation Program: Supervise and guide technicians to carry out energy conservation programs, closely monitor and control all operating parameters of utilities/equipment operation to ensure high efficiency of utilization, and report any deviations in permitted parameters to the Chief Engineer.

  • Training: Arrange on-the-job training and record all training activities.

  • Emergencies: Work alongside the Chief Engineer to ensure that fire protection systems operate in accordance with design and requirements, coordinate engineering support as required in hotel emergency procedures immediately.

  • Others: Recommend methods for improving performance of hotel equipment and facilities, perform other duties as directed by the Chief Engineer.
