Senior Design Engineer

The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for leading the mechanical design of embedded products from concept through production.

This role will drive mechanical design efforts, including enclosure design, thermal and structural considerations, and integration with electronics.

  • Mechanical Design Leadership: Lead the mechanical design process, focusing on plastic components and scalable production methods.
  • Product Development Lifecycle: Own the mechanical development process from concept to prototyping, testing, validation, and production launch.
  • Design for Manufacture: Develop and document manufacturing procedures. Optimize designs for high-volume production.
  • Material and Process Selection: Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with systems, electrical, and software engineers.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5 – 8 years of experience in mechanical product development.
  • Demonstrated experience taking at least one product from concept to market.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with optical systems or sensor integration.
