Research Assistant Position
Description:A Research Assistant position is available in the group of Dr Ahmet Avsar at the Material Science and Engineering Department to experimentally study the spin transport properties of two-dimensional semiconductors.
The research involves advanced nanofabrication in state-of-the-art research facilities, data analysis, and physical interpretation of the results using simulation tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate the spin-anisotropy effect in a 2D semiconductor proximitized with a high spin-orbit coupling material.
- Analyse experimental data and interpret the results using simulation tools.
- Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals.
To be successful in this role, you will require a BSc in experimental physics or engineering.
You should also have enthusiasm for research, ability to think and work independently, willingness to pursue PhD in our group, analytical skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additionally, experience in spin transport and 2D heterostructure fabrication would be advantageous.
