Mathematics Education Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Educator to join our team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mathematics education, possess a strong understanding of the Singapore mathematics curriculum, and be able to effectively engage and inspire students of varying abilities.

  • About the Role:
  • We are looking for someone who can conduct engaging and effective mathematics lessons for primary and/or secondary school students in a tuition centre setting.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching mathematics and be familiar with various teaching pedagogies (e.g., inquiry-based learning, differentiated instruction).
  • They will also have experience in curriculum development and be able to create engaging and challenging lesson plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction in line with our curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of mathematical concepts.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and questions.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Prepare and mark assignments, quizzes, and other assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and centre management.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of our mathematics curriculum.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education (with a focus on Mathematics), or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching Primary and/or Secondary Mathematics in a Singapore school or tuition centre setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Singapore mathematics curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Possession of a NIE-trained teacher, Ex-MOE teacher, or current teacher certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching Mathematics.
  • Familiarity with various teaching pedagogies (e.g., inquiry-based learning, differentiated instruction).
  • Experience in curriculum development.
