Job Description

Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aerospace ground equipment. This includes diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance, and repairing or replacing damaged components.

">Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Considerable knowledge of machinery and systems, including diesel and gasoline engines, electrical/electronic systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or military training preferred.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Valid driver's license issued in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

This position requires the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. You must also be willing to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods and pass medical and dental examinations required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica.
