Job Description

This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of bringing cutting-edge AI research to the world. You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, product managers, and others to deploy AI models onto production infrastructure, making a positive impact on society.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Solving key research challenges through designing and running experiments, sharing analyses, and proposing next steps.
  • Adapting and enabling the use of key research technologies for specific applications and partnerships.
  • Developing, maintaining, and extending AI deployment solutions in response to user feedback and strategic priorities.
  • Sharing expertise in ML deployment using Google's tech stack and bringing this knowledge to research projects and products.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, science, mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Two years of experience with software development in programming languages such as C++ and/or Python.
  • Experience with Python-based scientific libraries like JAX, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and NumPy.
  • Experience with deploying ML or AI systems.

Beyond technical skills, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience delivering ML-driven solutions in areas relevant to our work.
  • Academic research/publications experience in machine learning or related fields.
  • Familiarity with modern hardware accelerators, such as GPU/TPU.
