Portfolio Implementation Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Portfolio Implementation Lead to join our team. As a key member of our portfolio management function, you will be responsible for leading and executing equities portfolio activities, including injections, withdrawals, rebalancing, and transitions.

Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality results while ensuring the highest level of accuracy and precision in all your work. You will be working closely with our portfolio managers, traders, and other internal teams to ensure precise and timely execution of trades.

  • Lead and execute equities portfolio activities, including injections, withdrawals, rebalancing, and transitions.
  • Recommend and implement hedging or equitisation strategies using both physical and derivatives.
  • Generate trade orders, propose and send orders, manage compliance checks, liaise with traders to ensure best execution.
  • Monitor portfolio risk, performance, and exposures, including cash flows; ensure adherence to defined tracking error thresholds.
  • Optimize transition costs throughout all stages of portfolio implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA) preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in portfolio implementation, index portfolio management, or trading within a leading asset management firm, preferably in public equities.
  • Strong understanding of the market landscape, investment products, trading, and portfolio construction, particularly in public equities.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with portfolio management and/or trading systems, along with proficiency in data analysis and process automation.
