Key Responsibilities
  • To teach Dance and Drama lessons to students of various age groups, ensuring that lessons are well-planned, engaging, and effective.
  • To differentiate instruction according to student needs, while maintaining high expectations and promoting a love of learning.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and contribute to the development of new subject materials.
  • To provide parents with regular updates on student progress and attend parent-teacher meetings.
  • To take on boarding duties, invigilation, and cover for absent colleagues, while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements
  • 2-6 years of teaching experience with QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree in Dance and Drama.
  • Experience of teaching Dance and Drama lessons to all age ranges.
  • Proven aptitude and/or knowledge in LAMDA provision will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of British National Curriculum requirements for Drama at relevant Key Stages.
  • A positive team player with a warm, engaging, and approachable personality.
  • Evidence of creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to inspire students and colleagues alike.
