Chemical Expert

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chemical Expert to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and be able to provide technical support and guidance on product and process requirements.
  • The role involves participating in regular cross-functional meetings, providing technical advice, managing customer-specific requests, and answering technical questionnaires.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Providing day-to-day support and guidance on all product and process technical requirements.
  2. Participating in regular cross-functional meetings to ensure that customer technical requirements are met on time.
  3. Providing technical advice (e.g., product specifications, applications, quality) to customers, Sales, and the Supply Chain team.
  4. Managing customer-specific and new product specification requests.
  5. Answering customer technical questionnaires.
Manufacturing Technical Support:

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  1. Providing technical support by working with manufacturing plants in cross-functional teams to assist with process and quality improvements, troubleshooting, and complaint resolution.
  2. Ensuring that technology and quality standards for new and revised formulas/specifications are successfully transferred into manufacturing processes.
Business Development:

The successful candidate will also contribute to:

  1. Supporting new business opportunities/assessment for currently marketed products as well as for new products framed in the oleochemical industry.
  2. Participating in the process of analysis and evaluation of new investment projects.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical role within the Oleochemicals or derivatives industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through others, as well as the ability to operate independently as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work with a vision toward continuous improvement.
  • Frequent business travel required to Indonesia.
