Join the Discovery and Learning Team

The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Education Officer to join our Discovery and Learning team. As an Education Officer, you will play a key role in delivering educational programs and activities for school students, pre-school children, and their families, as well as the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver educational programs and activities that promote conservation, sustainability, and environmental awareness.
  • Work with the Education Coordinator to prepare events, promotional materials, and resources.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality services to visitors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, community groups, and other stakeholders.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering educational programs and activities to children, with a passion for WA biodiversity and conservation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop rapport with diverse groups of all ages and abilities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a team to deliver a high standard of service to visitors.
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and flexibility, with a willingness to adapt to changing situations.
