Job Description

The Design Associate position involves overseeing and managing all design aspects for carpentry projects, including wardrobes, cabinets, kitchen sets, counters, and feature walls.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Project design management: Coordinating and supervising design projects from concept to completion.
  • Technical detailing: Preparing and reviewing technical drawings and specifications.
  • Team leadership and supervision: Managing and guiding a team of designers and engineers to ensure project delivery on time.
  • Client and stakeholder liaison: Communicating with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Coordination and quality assurance: Ensuring that all design elements are properly coordinated and meet required quality standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or degree in interior design, architecture, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in carpentry or interior fit-out design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software.
  • Strong technical knowledge in joinery and fabrication methods.
  • Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
