Strategic Corporate Legal Expert

This position plays a crucial role in providing strategic and practical legal expertise across various critical areas.
Key Responsibilities- Reviewing contracts, tenders, supply agreements, research collaborations, and related documents for compliance with corporate policies.
- Negotiating with counterparties as required by business proposal teams.
- Preparing applications for exceptions approval in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Providing legal counsel to corporate functions.
- Managing the corporate secretariat function for the organization.
- Conducting legal training for the legal team, business units, and project teams, including preparation of training materials.
- Supporting periodic audit exercises on the company and the legal department.
- Other duties include mentoring junior team members, reviewing policies and processes, collating and analyzing data, preparing reports, and policy papers for the improvement of the legal function and processes.
- Minimum 10 years of PQE experience with prior private practice in a reputable law firm, along with experience in in-house roles within tech companies is an added advantage.
- Preferably with experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and/or dispute resolution.
- Strong corporate and commercial background with prior legal experience in corporate work, litigation, or a mix of both, preferably with in-house legal experience in established technology firms.
- Possess strong linguistic ability and good people management skills.
