Intern Data Scientist Role

We are seeking an intern to contribute to the enhancement of data quality and reporting within our organisation.

  • Clean, validate, and structure assessment datasets ensuring clear documentation for audit purposes.
  • Refine simple, repeatable data-processing workflows that improve data quality and reduce manual effort.

Data Preparation & Quality

  • Prepare curated datasets and metadata for integration into business intelligence dashboards and other analytics tools.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests exploratory analyses and concise summary reporting for internal stakeholders.

Automation & Process Improvement

  • Contribute Python scripts that automate file movement perform data checks or standardise data formats.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence assistants for troubleshooting and efficiency where appropriate.

Operational Support

  • Coordinate logistics for assessment pilots subject matter expert reviews and monthly data-collection cycles.
  • Maintain version-controlled documentation of meetings key decisions and share knowledge with the broader team.

Research and Insights

  • Assist in analysing quantitative or qualitative data from certification products to surface actionable insights.
  • Support survey or focus-group initiatives design coordination results analysis as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a diploma or degree in Data Science Statistics Computer Science Business Analytics Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Exposure to Python Pandas/NumPy for basic data manipulation.
  • Comfort with Excel for quick checks interest in business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills – Meticulous attention to detail organised working style clear communicator proactive problem-solver and collaborative mindset.
