Job Description

Imperva is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Centre Engineer to join our global Network Operations Center (NOC) team. As a key member of our 24x7x365 follow-the-sun monitoring and response team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the overall health and operational success of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Incident Response and Remediation: Actively engage in incident response, triage, and remediation to ensure minimal disruption to our services.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Follow established standard operating procedures while recommending improvements based on experience and observations.
  • Point of Escalation: Serve as the point of escalation for critical customer issues, providing timely and effective resolution.
  • Network Performance and Stability: Contribute to improving Imperva's global network performance and stability through proactive monitoring and analysis.
  • Knowledge Development and Sharing: Build and maintain knowledge as you develop expertise, and participate in training and mentoring of new NOC engineers.
  • Project Support: Assist on long-term projects and operational issues as needed, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  • Operational Data Analysis: Analyze operational data to produce reports and insights on network performance, informing business decisions and driving improvement.
Requirements:
  • Networking Certifications: Possess relevant networking certifications, such as CCNA, JNCIA, etc.
  • Network Engineer Experience: Have a background in Linux scripting, with a strong understanding of Internetworking (BGP) and TCP/IP fundamentals.
  • Linux and Scripting Knowledge: Possess basic knowledge of Linux and scripting languages, with the ability to write efficient and effective scripts.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate a strong team player attitude, with a focus on accountability and business urgency.
  • Organizational Skills: Show the ability to stay organized in a multi-tasking environment, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Self-Starter: Possess a self-starter personality, with a willingness to take initiative and drive results.
  • Monitoring Tools Experience: Have end-user experience with various monitoring tools/systems, including Zabbix, Grafana, ELK, and Pingdom.
