Job Title: Network Operations Centre Engineer

Imperva is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our global Network Operations Center (NOC) team as a Network Operations Centre Engineer. As a key member of our 24x7x365 follow-the-sun monitoring and response team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the overall health and operational success of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively engage in incident response, triage, and remediation to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Follow standard operating procedures while recommending improvements based on experience and observations.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for critical customer issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Contribute to improving Imperva's global network performance and stability through proactive monitoring and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our infrastructure, systems, and tools to provide expert-level support.
  • Train and mentor new NOC engineers to ensure a smooth onboarding process and knowledge transfer.
  • Assist on long-term projects and operational issues as needed, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Analyze operational data to produce reports and insights on network performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
Requirements:
  • Networking certifications, such as CCNA, JNCIA, etc.
  • Network Engineer with a background in Linux scripting, a significant advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Internetworking (BGP) and excellent understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals, HTTP/S, and DNS.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and scripting languages, with a strong foundation in problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stay organized and focused in a multi-tasking environment, with a self-starter personality and willingness to grow in knowledge and span of responsibility.
