Job Title

Credit specialists are sought after to join our ranks in Private Banking, responsible for evaluating and managing credit risk across a diverse range of assets.

This is an opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and business acumen to drive growth and profitability within our lending business.

As part of our team, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining relationships with high net worth clients, advising them on complex financial matters and facilitating access to tailored solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of credit policies, product programs, and risk management procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Develop expertise in Citi's Credit Policies, Product Programs, and overarching Procedures.
  • Conduct thorough credit underwriting, ensuring appropriate risk-return characteristics align with Citi's standards.
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive credit applications, incorporating detailed financial analysis and collateral evaluation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide in-business credit risk approval and negotiate credit documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with facility covenants and approval conditions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Support portfolio management, including annual credit reviews, covenant monitoring, and compliance.
  • Recognize and address problem loans, working closely with Data Management Teams to maintain accurate records.
  • Partner with Business Partners to facilitate margin call/limit excess deferrals and approvals.
  • Assist Lending Advisors in preparing Credit Greenlight memos, as applicable.
  • Effectively assess risk when making business decisions, upholding Citigroup's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets by adhering to Policy and applying sound ethical judgment.
