Job DescriptionThe job holder will play an important role in drafting policy, implementing guidelines, and advocating best practices on risk assessment and mitigation relating to international collaborations. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Engaging internal and external stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of primary, evolving, and emerging concerns in the fundamental research security ecosystem;
- Raising awareness among the university community on research security through various channels and initiatives;
- Developing toolkits, best practices, and enhancing guidelines to uphold the integrity of international research collaboration;
- Ensuring codified guidelines are consistently implemented and observed across research units;
- Leading and coordinating internal support units to conduct risk assessment and mitigation evaluation of collaborations; providing guidance to project/collaboration leads on risk considerations, cost-benefits, risk management, and mitigation;
- Conducting ongoing compliance review on projects operating with specific risk mitigation measures;
- Supporting scheduled (triennial) compliance audit/inspection readiness; leading in compliance audit outcome reporting and feedback for improvement;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in research management/administration or similar roles in compliance;
- Experience in the R&D sector or higher education sector will be advantageous;
- Knowledge or experience in reviewing and developing policies and procedures;
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills;
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find solutions;
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business landscape and possess the ability to make well-informed decisions;
- Flexible and adaptable to navigate changing circumstances;
The estimated salary for this position is SGD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. NTU offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings plans.
