We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Human Resources team as a Compliance Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in human resources compliance, risk management, and audit. They will be responsible for providing expert advice on HR risk and compliance matters, collaborating with various stakeholders, and leading the implementation of policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in a Human Resources Compliance, Risk, Audit or HR Governance related role. They will be expected to demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.

The role involves reviewing, maintaining, and updating HR Code of Conduct policies and procedures regularly, as well as leading the maintenance and execution of standards and strategies on Bank's Risk Management Programme. The successful candidate will also provide subject matter expert advice on Employee Conduct Trigger and Manager Conduct Trigger programmes, support the secretariat role for Culture & Conduct committees, and liaise with various stakeholders relating to regulatory guidance reviews.

Key responsibilities include analysing and providing refinements to group-wide risk dashboard indicators, ensuring key and operational risks are addressed and/or mitigated through effective control procedures, and supporting HR compliance in MAS Individual Accountability & Conduct guidelines.

The successful candidate will drive decision-making by using data to identify trends and partners with business leaders to determine root cause of issues and develop organizational effective solutions. They will also support with HR audits including both internal and external regulatory inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Total of at least 8 years of banking experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources Compliance, Risk, Audit or HR Governance related role.
  • Prior experience supporting executive level Committees with employee risk assessment frameworks and associated discipline and compensation impact outcomes.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills with high degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand the regulations and design and develop policies and implementation plans to adhere to regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment against tight timelines.
  • Experience in building strong, effective, and trusted relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
