The Associate Director, Deal Desk is responsible for managing and developing a team of professionals, including performance management, coaching, and career development. This individual will own the commercial strategy and monetization framework, partnering with executive leadership to define and implement pricing, packaging, and discount policies.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining deal approval hierarchies and policies
  • Ensuring consistent application of commercial terms and adherence to profitability standards
  • Partnering with C-level and VP-level stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product to advise on deal structuring and commercial terms
  • Driving continuous improvement of Deal Desk processes and systems, defining the roadmap for automation and efficiency gains
  • Directing the analysis of deal trends and pricing performance, using insights to provide data-driven recommendations for strategic commercial initiatives

 

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Deal Desk and Consulting within a SaaS organization
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial strategy, pricing, and monetization frameworks
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of SaaS business models, go-to-market strategies, and revenue recognition principles

 

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to influence and build consensus with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. They will be a proactive and strategic thinker who can anticipate business needs and build for future scale.
