Healthcare Support Specialist

In a dynamic and supportive environment, the Healthcare Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting therapists and clients. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and treatment rooms, communicating effectively with clients, therapists, and other departments, documenting client responses to treatment, performing basic prescribed treatments under supervision, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and therapy areas, and supporting administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing Equipment and Treatment Rooms: Ensure that all necessary equipment and treatment rooms are properly prepared for each session.
  • Liaising Between Clients, Therapists, and Other Departments: Communicate effectively with clients, therapists, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Documenting Client Responses to Treatment: Accurately document client responses to treatment and update client files accordingly.
  • Performing Basic Prescribed Treatments: Carry out basic prescribed treatments as instructed by therapists, under their supervision.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing Equipment and Therapy Areas: Clean and sanitize all equipment and therapy areas after each use, including changing linen as needed.
  • Supporting Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments.
Requirements:
  • Previous Experience in Healthcare: Advantageous to have previous experience working in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in Office Software: Proficient in office software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
  • Exceptional Organizational and Time Management Skills: Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Superb Interpersonal, Communication, and Collaboration Abilities: Possess superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities to work effectively with clients, therapists, and other departments.
  • Keen Attention to Detail and Caring Nature: Demonstrate a keen attention to detail and a caring nature to provide high-quality support to clients.
  • Ability to Perform Physical Tasks: Able to perform tasks that require physical strength and stamina.
  • Flexibility to Work Weekends and Public Holidays: Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays as required.
