Key Mechanical Engineering Role

We are seeking a skilled and creative Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of robotic hardware products.

  • Develop effective solutions to complex engineering features and components of autonomous cleaning robots
  • Lead design engineers in product development, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
  • Own the end-to-end design process, from concept generation to final product release
  • Rapid prototyping using fabrication methods such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and sheet metal testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of hardware components
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify design requirements and specifications
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings
  • Supervise technical documentation creation and maintain accurate engineering records
  • Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure product safety and reliability
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source components and evaluate production feasibility
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, incorporating innovative solutions into product designs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the production team during manufacturing

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in product management, design engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in product development and a strong understanding of different methodologies
  • Ability to utilize rapid prototyping to great effect, producing low-fidelity prototypes from 3D printing to validate ideas
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and experience in new product introduction (NPI)
  • Operations experience in rolling out hardware or robotic products is preferred
  • Deep expertise in mechanical design, manufacturing methodologies, and material selection
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, employing structured decision-making frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment
