Job Title: Protective Coating Specialist

About the Role:

We seek a highly skilled protective coating specialist to deliver high-quality coating applications on various projects. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project specifications and coating system requirements to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Attend pre-job meetings with clients, contractors, and applicators to discuss project details and expectations.
  • Verify that surface preparation meets specified standards, including cleanliness, roughness, and absence of contaminants.
  • Conduct visual inspections and surface profile testing to identify any defects or issues.
  • Measure and record ambient temperature, substrate temperature, relative humidity, and dew point to ensure environmental conditions are within specified limits.
  • Confirm that all required inspection tools are calibrated and functional prior to commencing work.
  • Perform holiday (spark) testing for coating continuity to ensure seamless coverage.
  • Compile detailed inspection reports to document findings and recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in both onshore and offshore construction projects, with a strong background in protective coating inspection and application.
  • Prior experience in E-house FPSO projects is highly desirable.
  • Minimum engineering degree preferred and NACE II certification, with excellent knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
