Teaching Opportunity for Individuals

This role is ideal for passionate individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of students with dyslexia. As an Educational Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lesson plans face-to-face or online, monitoring student progress, and communicating with parents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver dynamic Science lessons that cater to students' needs and abilities.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and address any concerns.
- Fulfill administrative tasks such as attendance marking and record-keeping.
- Participate in training sessions and quality assurance audits to ensure high-quality teaching practices.
- Be available for relief teaching and contribute to research evaluations (optional).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any field.
- Minimum Grade C6 in Science at GCE 'O' levels.
- No prior teaching experience necessary, but some experience in teaching Science or working with children with learning differences is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing program needs.
- Good understanding of the Singapore Science curriculum an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Work Arrangements:
- Commit to a minimum of 8 teaching hours per week.
- Be willing to travel to different learning centers throughout Singapore.
- Fulfill 640 teaching hours within 2 years (minimum service period).
Benefits:
- $50 per hour for teaching hours only (depending on qualifications and experience).
- An allowance for teaching on weeknights and Sundays.
