About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Associate to join our team at the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development of integrated superconducting nanowire single photon detectors, with a focus on improving detection efficiency and optimizing device performance.

This position requires strong expertise in single photon detection, photonic waveguides, nanofabrication, superconductivity, and cryogenic measurement methods, as well as excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and simulate the performance of integrated SNSPDs
  • Develop a fabrication workflow for integration of SNSPDs in waveguides
  • Characterize and optimize device performance
  • Design photon number resolution schemes for integrated SNSPDs
  • Develop cryogenic-compatible chip packaging

Working Environment

  • Cleanrooms, growth laboratories, and laser laboratories
