**Job Summary:**

A Laboratory Technician is required to perform analytical tests on incoming, intermediate and finished product catalysts. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, labeling and storing samples with relevant safety & hazard information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine analyses on effluent water according to prescribed test methods to support environmental monitoring of plant wastewater treatment system;
  • Verifying and calibrating lab testing equipment to ensure product testing is validated;
  • Implementing preventive maintenance program for lab testing equipment, ensuring equipment is well maintained to minimize downtime;
  • Validating and reviewing testing procedures and ensuring procedures are updated and followed;
  • Celebrating as test results are calculated, logged and reported accurately in accordance with ISO9001 management system.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Minimum of O Levels or equivalent and at least 3-5 years of laboratory experience;
  • Knowledge of laboratory best practices;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
  • Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform standard mathematical calculations, familiar with different measurement units, ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios;
  • Time management skills: able to prioritize and organize work for efficiency and higher throughput;
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
