Job Title: Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Responsibilities:

  Set up the restaurant according to established guidelines and requirements. Ensure all equipment, lighting and sound system are functioning properly and efficiently.

  Welcome guests upon arrival and address them by name whenever possible. Maintain a high level of alertness, attentiveness and provide a pleasant attitude towards members and guests at all times.

  Be familiar with the sequence of services and ensure that orders are served properly and promptly with the correct utensils.

  Responsible for mise-en-place preparation, table set-ups, linen control and the proper handling of equipment.

  Possess thorough knowledge of food and beverages, including menu items, drink list and wine list.

  Have a good working understanding and practices of the P.O.S. and guest check control systems.

  Adhere to service standards, club rules, regulations and policies established by the organization.

  Maintain good communication between subordinates and other departments, particularly the kitchen.

  Perform assigned tasks and duties as directed by superiors.

  Maintain a professional level of personal grooming in accordance with organizational policy and image.

  Carry out reasonable requests made by management.
