Family Life Educator Job Description

Job Purpose:

As a Family Life Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering impactful programmes that support families. You will conduct engaging talks, workshops, and coaching sessions to promote healthy relationships and parenting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct talks, workshops, and coaching sessions to promote family life education.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and adapt curriculum materials.
  • Partner with stakeholders to address their specific needs and provide targeted support.
  • Support outreach efforts in the community and contribute to programme development.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Working Conditions:

  • 5-day workweek: Monday to Friday.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work for programme delivery (Time-off will be provided).
  • Attractive remuneration package and staff benefits.
  • Ongoing training and supervision provided for marriage and parenting programmes.
  • Location: Toa Payoh/Jalan Basar region.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, or related fields.
  • Proficient in English language.
  • Experience in facilitating talks, workshops, or small group sessions.
  • Experience in coaching or counselling.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Triple P, Signposts, or Purposeful Play.
  • Accreditation in PE, MPP, PREP, PEMEP, or similar programmes.
  • Confident use of digital tools for online training.
  • Willingness to grow through curriculum development and ongoing learning.
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil.
