We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Chief Technology Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic tech team at WebSparks PTE. LTD.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our rapidly evolving platform. You will collaborate closely with our development, QA, and product teams to streamline deployment processes, enhance system performance, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on AWS EC2.
  • Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS for containerization and orchestration of microservices.

Infrastructure Development:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on AWS EC2. This includes utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS for containerization and orchestration of microservices.

CI/CD Pipeline Management:
You will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and ArgoCD to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Additionally, you will integrate QA tooling into CI/CD pipelines, including Cypress for E2E testing.

Configuration and Automation:
In this position, you will implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for efficient resource provisioning. You will also manage configuration management using Ansible to automate system configurations and deployments.

Networking and Security:
You will configure and manage load balancers using Traefik to ensure optimal traffic distribution. Furthermore, you will implement service mesh technologies like LinkerD to manage service-to-service communication securely. Ensuring infrastructure security and compliance with industry best practices is also a key responsibility.

Monitoring and Logging:
In this role, you will set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk. Proactively identifying and resolving system issues to maintain high availability and performance is crucial.

Collaboration and Support:
You will work closely with development and QA teams to understand application requirements and ensure seamless integration. Providing support for development and staging environments, facilitating efficient testing and deployment cycles is also essential.

Optimization and Cost Management:
In this position, you will analyze system performance metrics to optimize infrastructure for cost and efficiency. Implementing strategies for resource optimization without compromising on performance is vital.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a DevOps or similar role is required. Strong expertise in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes is essential. Past experience as a software developer is highly advantageous.

Technical Skills:
The successful candidate should have proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and ArgoCD. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform is also required. Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible is essential. Knowledge of load balancing with Traefik and service mesh implementations using LinkerD is necessary. Experience with logging and monitoring tools, specifically Splunk, is desirable. Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go for automation tasks are valuable. Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs is critical. Familiarity with our tech stack is a plus: TypeScript, Go, ReactJS, ExpressJS, Gin-gonic, GraphQL with JWT authentication.

Soft Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment is crucial. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work is essential.

Salary: We offer an estimated salary of $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
