Environmental Historian of Japan

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Environmental Historian of Japan to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research on environmental histories of Japan, developing a robust research agenda, and maintaining a strong publication record.
- The ideal candidate will have a PhD in history or a related field, with demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.
- S/he will also have experience in curriculum development, graduate supervision, and administrative roles.
The History program at the School of Humanities is a vibrant department with key areas of expertise in Asian history and interdisciplinary approaches to history. We are committed to equal opportunity and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to course development at the undergraduate and graduate levels, deliver engaging and effective teaching, and mentor junior faculty members.
