Job Description

As a Befriender Executive, you will play a vital role in ensuring the frequency, reliability, and quality of our befriending service to alleviate loneliness and enhance the lives of socially isolated seniors. Your primary responsibility will be to provide companionship, support, and assistance to seniors, helping them maintain their independence and improve their overall well-being.

Your duties will include managing stakeholders, building relationships with community assets, and engaging in outreach events to identify and support seniors' needs. You will also be responsible for recruiting new seniors, tiering them according to specific criteria, and facilitating volunteer engagement.

In addition, you will deliver projects and activities to seniors at home or off-site, evaluate processes, and provide suggestions for improvement. You will document important information about seniors and their data for reporting purposes to funders and sponsors.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Min. Diploma in Social Work/Gerontology/Psychology or equivalent
  • Able to work in the evening and on weekends when required
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Passionate in working with Seniors
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Meticulous and detailed
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
